Taijiquan is not about learning a number forms and repetitively moving from one posture to another. You need to ask yourself are you listening to what motivates movement internally or are you just following a memorised external dance.
Wee Kee Jin states it well by saying;
Tàijí is not simply a matter of moving from one posture to another. It is whether you understand the changes that create the movements. The essence of tàijí is to understand the changes during the transitions from one movement to another.
